For new students, we recommend the Core Filmmaking Program – our most popular intensive! For return students or students who have extensive filmmaking experience, we have Advanced Filmmaking. And Filmmakers and writers of all levels can also hone their skills in one of our Screenwriting intensives. Click Here to Register

MISSION: Our mission is to develop the next generation of Latino filmmakers. The Mighty Thor was once told by Odin, “with great power comes great responsibility.” At Georgia Latino Film Alliance’s Youth Cinema Film Camp Norcross, we have the great power to Educate, Motivate , empower and engage the youth to cultivate an interest in filmmaking for the aspiring filmmakers of today and tomorrow. It’s our honor to be responsible for inspiring, nurturing, and mentoring our students in the ever-growing world of filmmaking on a community-focused level.

SUMMARY: This program is designed to cultivate an interest in filmmaking from pre- to post-production through hands-on youth education. By the end of the 4-week program, students will have worked in teams to complete one short film per team that will screen at the conclusion of the program.

Students will break into 4 groups of 5 and with guided instruction, complete a 1–5-minute film each. The completed films will be screened at the conclusion of the program. Students will learn all facets of filmmaking from development, pre-production production, post and red carpet.
