A 1980s Manhattan cab driver, host to an ever-changing cast of characters, reminisces a time when he drove a director to a film set and landed an acting gig.
Director Biography – Pamela Restrepo
Pamela Restrepo is the director of ¡TAXI!. She is a story artist from Atlanta, Georgia, with a proud Colombian heritage.
While studying Story and Concept Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design, Pamela works with genres ranging
from light comedy to dark horror. She enjoys sharing stories of many perspectives while mixing genres to create unique
worlds like ¡TAXI! For people to enjoy.
This films comes from all the memories I share with people like my father: hardworking people who make the foundation
of our society. This film is a “thank you” to all of our loved ones, colleagues, and people to work together to make our days
bearable.

Director Biography – Rodrigo Enrique Perez
Rodrigo Enrique Perez is a Venezuelan-American filmmaker based in Miami, FL, and Atlanta, GA. Born in
Caracas and raised in Miami, Rodrigo draws from his bicultural upbringing to tell bold, emotionally charged
stories. He is a graduate of Ringling College of Art and Design, where he gained in-depth knowledge from all
aspects of production but specialized in directing, writing, and cinematography.
With professional experience ranging from major sports production to independent narrative filmmaking,
Rodrigo’s visual storytelling is shaped by both discipline and instinct. He has interned with the Miami Heat
and Wreck Hard Productions in Atlanta and has collaborated with many industry professionals.

Director Biography – Kira Powell
Kira Powell is a filmmaker of African American and Ecuadorian descent, known for creating emotionally resonant stories that explore identity,
the immigrant experience, and self-discovery. A DGA Jury Award winner, she earned the honor for Outstanding Directing for her AFI thesis film
BEST EYES, starring Sage Wynters and Jackie Cruz (Orange Is the New Black), which premiered at the 2025 Georgia Latino International Film Festival (GALIFF).
